Vegetable-tanned leather is the slow option: it takes months to tan and it arrives pale, then darkens into its own colour over the first year of carrying. It is the only leather worth monogramming, because the mark ages with the bag rather than sitting on top of it.
Each bag is cut after the order lands. The monogram is embroidered by hand before assembly — which is why the thread colour is chosen up front and cannot be changed later.

How to care for it
