Inside a maker's workshop in Amman
Clay on the wheel, brushes in jars, orders packed by hand: a morning with one of the small studios that sell on YESLAMU.
Most of the things you buy on YESLAMU are made in rooms like this one: a small studio, a few tables, shelves of materials and one or two people who know every piece by heart.
The morning starts with orders
Before any making begins, the day's orders are checked. Each one is accepted in the seller portal, labelled and set aside for the YESLAMU courier, so the customer knows it is on its way.

Then the making
By ten, the wheel is turning. A batch of cups is thrown, trimmed and left to dry, and yesterday's pieces go into the kiln. Nothing is rushed: a cup thrown today will not be ready to ship for two weeks.
When someone orders a cup, they are ordering two weeks of my time. I want them to feel that.
